I have recently run into an issue with ejection on 2 weapons using Fiocchie 9mm FMJ.

One is a new Sig 365 and the other is a 320 that was just returned from Sig because of an ejection issue.
Sig said that they did a little work on the 320 and ran some rounds thru it without a problem…
a second 320 worked OK.
I have run a lot of bulk Remington 9mm thru both 320s, 2- 938s, and a 226 Legion without issues…
Since it is a new 365 and the 320 has been “checked by Sig, I believe it is the ammo.

anyone else having trouble with Fiocchie?

I will not run Fiocchi. I had a Kahr that would run anything, but Fiocchi.

Good to know… looks like I need to get a thousand rounds of something else.
it has to be inexpensive
Any suggestions?
I haven’t bought ammo since 9mm hit $.30 a round spring of 2020, so I don’t know where to send you. There’s a thread somewhere here that’s been keeping up with the latest deals on 9mm

$0.30 a round is like $1.50 a gallon gasoline ….. Thanks Joe!

I would be happy with $0.40.

Norma has some good deals lately:

And a decent case price of $339.99 (relatively speaking of course) for Blazer Brass 115 grain:

Norma looks interesting and cost effective.
free shipping is a benefit - but it looks like they charge for tax..
Anyone have experience with this? Clean burning etc?

Natchezss is big — this is the first time I’ve heard of them…
shipping makes the cost go up

Norma is excellent ammo. Right now it is consistently the best deal on 9mm. Coupon code is welcome10

My only problem with Fiocci has been off center primer flash holes, it runs fine.

But if it doesn’t run it’s got to go!

Our problems here were..weak sister loads...and NOT from all calibers they offer. Some were fine some just wouldn't run the slide back far enough to "work".

might be the issue. The problem guns might be a little stiffer…
I never had that problem until I got old…

I would bet dollars to pesos it is not Fiocchi, especially if you didn't have problems with Remington FMJ.

What kind of ejection issues?
What is the frequency?
Are the two troublesome Sigs lubed correctly?
Do you use a thumbs forward grip that can accidently hit the slide stop?

I can't speak on the P320, but most malfunctions on the P365 I've seen are hitting the slide stop since it's such a small gun for most shooters.... except for the weirdo left-handed shooters.

The empty cartridge comes partway out every few rounds…
one 320 seems to be OK
I have 5-6 mags for each weapon.
the 365 and troublesome 320 bullets came from the same box.
I am thinking better lube and maybe short loads in one box

I will do a deep cleaning, try some SIG and the new Norma 9mm next time
I will also take the 226 Legion and a 938 with me.

At least I had a reason to get another 1,000 rounds. :) :) :)

BTW - I think I found heaven in NC…
I can shoot at a place that is 10 minutes from my home on Wed for $10.18 including a target but not ammo.
At $.34 a round it adds about $68 to the day.
woops forgot gasoline and coffee… add $75 a day

I think the Wake County Firearms Training Center is free now. You’d just need to bring or buy targets. It’s in Holly Springs.

sticking out of the ejection port and trapped by slide, ie stovepipe?

Happen with all mags and regardless of how full or empty the magazine is?

Happen when you shoot strong hand only?

I have no ideas for you try, but it won’t ever hurt to clean the chamber and slide. There really isn’t much a difference between lubes, just make sure that you have some and that’s it’s not gunked up with caked powder residue or thick grease. I have some guns that run with grease, others dry lube. My 365 runs perfectly with a fairly thick oil.

The spent shell is pulled out of the chamber and stuck parallel to the barrel.
It happens every few rounds,
I am almost convinced that there is not enough power to fully cycle the action.

The weapons are clean — almost —- and lubricated.

I just cleaned them again and ordered 1,000 rounds of Norma that will be here on Saturday.

one of the guys at the range told me to keep putting rounds thru them until they work.
I’m using that when my wife asks why I am living at the range… :)

That sounds like it could be an ejector or extractor issue. If the problem occurs with the new ammo there is stuff to check, but since I don’t have mine in front of me I hesitate to suggest that you do anything until you eliminate ammo as the source of the problem.

Fiocchi ammo tends to be weak, which could lead to ejection problems. That being said Ive had my share of problems with sig (and their CS/repair attempts) to have zero faith in anything they built after ~2016.
