50 +j0 -- it's a beautiful thing.

The odd thing about amp tuning, is that if one keeps a chart, one can change bands and peak the tune with less than a second OTA. I do this but I always tune to a quiet spot in the subband I'm operating on. Hearing those clowns who keep the carrier on for 30-40 seconds while they twist tune and load, makes me wonder ....

I do similar. I have a nice chart under the amp for quick reference. Do my pre-set, switch to the DL, and touch it up. Takes less than 5 seconds! Those 30-40 second twist and tune folks are trying to get 1 KW out, instead of the 990 W that is indicated on their monitor. . That last 10 watts might make the difference ya know! LOL

It sure is. when operating QRP, I of course need the most efficiency possible.
