I'm sure they're slots of gadgets for sale that you won't be able to live with out.

I'm going to take some resealable mylar pouches and sell them as "instant powdered water", with an instruction tag on the front that reads:

1) ADD 8 OZ WATER TO CONTENTS OF BAG
2) RESEAL BAG AND SHAKE FOR 30 SECONDS
3) DRINK STRAIGHT FROM BAG OR POUR CONTENTS
INTO CONTAINER OF YOUR CHOICE

EACH BAG YIELDS 8 OZ OF FRESH POTABLE WATER

In all seriousness, I would never do this because intentionally swindling folks, IMO, makes you a huge piece of sh*t, but I guarandamntee you'd sell a few.

In coming PM to buy 6 please.

I can't imagine a show at the coliseum is worth attending... but I will be teaching 4 courses at PrepperCamp.com in September!

I'll give you a genuine copper engraving of Abraham Lincoln for them.

You fools!! Don't you know how dangerous Dihydrogen Monoxide is?!

Do not trust any DHMO purchased from unlicensed vendors at a trade show or online. This stuff is scary.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO)
What is Dihydrogen Monoxide?
Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also referred to by some as Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid. Its basis is the highly reactive hydroxyl radical, a species shown to mutate DNA, denature proteins, disrupt cell membranes, and chemically alter critical neurotransmitters. The atomic components of DHMO are found in a number of caustic, explosive and poisonous compounds such as Sulfuric Acid, Nitroglycerine and Ethyl Alcohol.

I too was going to recommend PrepperCamp instead. I went to the first and enjoyed it. Since you're going to be there, maybe I'll come up for a visit. It's within easy striking distance for me now. I was going to list a few other good ones, but it looks like we've missed the boat this year. Heritage Life Skills in Waynesville was at the end of April and apparently there was a big shindig with Mother Earth News up in Asheville last weekend. I've been busy establishing the homestead, so it's OK. May have to do Prepper Camp and see old friends.
I mostly go to these things to network and to be around like minded people. I personally am not interested in one a the G'boro coliseum.

Here I was all ready to buy a set as they would come in real handy on the boat when out to sea for long periods and they got to be way cheaper than a desalinator, then I read the small type at the bottom.

Way to hurt a feller dude.

Heritage Life Skills in Waynesville was at the end of April ...
That was very good, as usual. I taught a few courses there, too.

Somebody told me about a prepper convention that was held in Baton Rouge... all the vendors showed up, and there were so few attendees that it was a total waste of time. Not so with Prepper Camp and HLSkills... 2,000 people attend Prepper Camp, and about 350 sign up for HLSkills. Both are class oriented, with vendor areas.

2000? Wow, it's grown. Still at the same campground, I assume. Beautiful venue. What's the name of that BBQ place in town? Maybe I won't go. I don't like crowds. It seems like we're one of the epicenters in the country for things like this. I've attended a few. I think it has to do with the independent mind set of the area.
What courses are you teaching?

The 2,000 people are spread over three days.

I'm teaching
1) Cold Smoke Meat Preservation
2) Raising Rabbits Naturally
3) Knots You Should Know
4) No-Sew Hammock Making

Good stuff.
Since I've missed everything for the last year or so, maybe I'll make Prepper Camp.

Back to the OP, BG, come to Prepper Camp. It's the real deal, will be worth the trip and far and away better than the citified marketing version in G'boro. IMHO

BTW, if you don't have it, get a copy of the LDS Preparedness Manual. You don't have to follow everything, but it's a great guide to work from. I use it as a discussion guide to teach from. It covers a lot of topics, is very practical and it's FREE! to download, but you should get a hard copy.

I went to the one in Raleigh last year, even got the wife to go along with me because "it wasn't a gun show". I should have taken her to a gun show. When the speaker at one of the talks mentioned that you should always have two fires at your site, one for cooking and one for burning the bodies of the marauders you have killed, I knew I was in the wrong place.

Don't get me wrong, I now know you need two fires, but still.... maybe some more practical skills first?

Wow.

You've been burning your marauders in the cook fire too? Yea, total faux pas.
Lol, I've got a loader. I make worm food

Hey, an ounce of image is worth a pound of performance. Everybody knows you only need to eat one neighbor then all the rest will leave you alone.

Would anyone like some BBQ?

Yeah, lets burn TWO fires, especially one big enough to dispose of bodies, so that you can invite everyone for miles to your shindig.

The image is very biblical for me. That and Mordor.

And this is why 'preppers' get a bad rap

Or gang up against you to make sure that you die next

Depending on the sauce, it's hard to eat just one!

Did anyone go? Was this one worth attending?

I went to the show on Sunday. Fairly light crowd a little light on vendors but not terrible. Typical vendor type selections with bug out bags, knifes, water purification, medical, surplus, etc. I did not attend any of the seminars because I was in a hurry. Overall, good show and would attend again. Probably will attend the Raleigh show.

You wildly overestimate my neighbors in the Containment Area.
