Got this card in the mail today about the class action suit against EoTech...

Got my last EoTech refunded last year and switched to a Trijicon MRO. Anyone else get one of these?

I've been thinking about buying one, should I or not?
They had some issues with them shifting MOA in extreme temperature changes. Once it came out the offered full refunds. If I remember correctly the temp shift had to be pretty extreme. Lots of people still love them but I erred on the side of caution and sent mine in for a refund. The lack of competition is one of the reasons Aimpoint's prices have increased so much. Before the EOTech thing you could get a PRO for $350 or less on sale. Now they are $425.

This is nothing but lawyers grubbing for money. It says you could receive benefits under a class action settlement. BS. Look at the bottom left paragraph. Legal fees not to exceed $10,000,000. That's where the money will go.

Yep. That's par for any class action. The only class action I'd truly like to be involved in against a company who wronged me is one that shuts them down (if they did something worthy of such an result. I was in on the diamonds class action against DeBeers many years ago, mainly because I was solicited to join the group, not that I had direct personal beef with them. After being sold on potentially getting several hundred dollars for my claim, I netted $15 or so. Lawyer fees on that one were something like $27M.

It was only like <20->120°. That's not extreme IMO... It wasn't the cold I worried about so much as the heat. I had mine in the truck. In the summer it gets way hotter than that. That's why I sent mine back.

I'm still debating whether to send my EOtech back for a refund. I've never had a noticable problem with it. I guess I'm on the fence because if I return it my EOtech 3x magnifier would be useless.

I sent my 2 back for full refunds, and purchased Aimpoints..........good all around.

I might take it off your hands... been looking for one myself.

I totally agree, they manned up a gave a full refund whether you were the original owner or not and no matter how old the sight was. That's good enough for me. Sometimes class action suits are the only way everyday people can complete against corporation's who have unlimited money for lawyers. This time I don't beleive thats the case.

Yes; I received one in the mail.

I chose option #3 to exclude myself from the settlement.

I sent my optic in last year. L3 sent me a full refund. I can see no reason why I am due nor why they should owe me a $22.50 voucher towards the purchase of another EoTech product, which I why I opted out.

No thanks.
I sent a EOTech in last year, got a refund, used money to purchase another, nicer EOTech.
Im pleased.

Im not a big fan of class action lawsuits, as someone else said, the lawyers will get most of that money. Besides, like said, Ive already gotten money for my older sight so Im satisfied.

Yeah, I got my money. No interest in the suit. Don't see where I'm owed anything. I came out good in the deal.

ok the Recall stuff was through EOTech, go to their site and there is a place with a digital form to fill out
To my knowledge it is for all of their HWS

As for this, like this original poster, I got a postcard in the mail from a lawyers office - NOT EOTECH

I just found out about the class action lawsuit last week. I emailed EOtech asking about it and they sent this link: http://www.fostersettlement.com. I believe you have until May, 23, 2017 to return your optic for a refund and file a claim.

Although I've not had a problem with my HWS, I've decided to return it for a refund. With the refund I plan on purchasing a new 2017 EOtech HWS. I really like and have grown accustomed to EOtech HWS.

I just got a letter saying the lawsuit was settled. It came with a voucher for $22.50 toward the purchase of a new EoTech product... lol. $22...

I don't care. They bought my optic back at full MSRP. Don't need the voucher...

Just got mine in the mail yesterday. Don't care either. That EOTech bought me a MRO.

I received my letter and voucher last week. Just received my free EOTech t-shirt yesterday. Go to EOTechgear.com to spend your $22.50. That's how I spent of mine.
