Ethiopian AK's - better than Century Arms?

Pretty cool. I'd buy one if the price was right. Can't be any worse than a Khyber Pass Darra gunsmith special.

Thanks for sharing. I was in Ethiopia ten years ago and I saw lots of of Kalashnikovs. The police carried them, (sometimes with the safety off,) and the soldiers as well. Most looked to be Soviet made but it didn't strike me as prudent to get close enough to read the selector markings. My final day the road was cleared of commercial traffic in the morning and every street corner for 5 or so miles had a paratrooper with an AKMS on guard. It seems an important minister was due to go to the airport. My taxi was allowed to go through this route and, just for the moment, I felt a little important as well. Henry

Ethiopia the only country during WWII the Italians were able to conquer! Was in there for a mission back around 97'. Lots of Soviet equipment used along with Italian arms from WWII ie Bersa 8mm machine guns. Don't ever remember any Ethiopian manufactured AKs then. Was teaching air assault operations and fast roping to their paras then. That mission sucked for rations as we only had the same breakfast T rat for a whole month! Had hyena's raiding the trash/burn pit every night and running right thru the camp.
