"chaos and death are but a power plug away". An excellent read on the aftermath of an EMP event by William R. Forstchen. "One Second After" Takes place in North Carolina. Chilling but sobering. Forword by Newt Gingrich.

They're all good!

There's a couple threads on them including the latest wrap up installment.

Just heard the 3rd book is out "Final Day". Heard its as good as the first one, Think I will get this weekend !!!!

I have read all of his books and they rock! Consider reading the series by A. Americans it's up t0 8 books now I think, and it's really good as well. Book one is titled "Going Home"

Have read all of the above. All are good reads and make you THINK - "What would I do in that situation?" They cover lots of incidents that most of us don't think about in a SHTF situation. Some of the stories are pretty graphic and gruesome too. But when we reach a society Without Rule Of Law (WROL) then (almost) anything goes for survival.

Shockingly another good read was the one by Ted Kopel but the title name escapes me at the moment.

Franklin Horton's borrowed World Series is awesome as well.

A while back, I read Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse. Great read! He has 4 contemporary sequels that occur in the same time frame, but follow different characters.

Edit: the author is James Wesley Rawles
