Excelsior Stan Lee

What an incredible mind and imagination.
RIP Stan, thanks for some good reading when I was a kid

Another part of my youth is gone... RIP, Stan "The Man" Lee.

Part of my youth is gone as well. I have some of my comics collection, although I was a reader and not a collector. Most of mine have covers wrinkled, ripped or missing. My oldest one is Volume 1 Number 74 of Iron Man and Captain America, Feb 1966. Fifty-two plus years of Stan Lee's magic!

No doubt he has been called to fill the vacancy with the Guardians of the Universe on planet Oa.

Still have all my silver age Marvel books back to '61 or so.

Stan and Jack Kirby or Steve Ditko were my favorite writer/pencillers. ( Jim Steranko and Bernie Wrightson and Wally Wood, my favorite artists).

I enjoyed many many hours reading Marvel books.

You'll be missed Stan the Man, but your legacy is forever.

I was thinking a couple of years ago that they should film a bunch of generic cameos for him for when this moment did come.

Those with young(ish) kids will probably already know this but he even had cameos in all of the animated shows as well. I always got a kick out of that. Man this guy sure lived a fun life.

I consider my self fortunate to have met Stan Lee at a comicon about 5 years ago. He was a funny guy to talk to!

I have an autographed poster of Stan Lee at my desk...next to autographed pictures of Lee Majors and Bruce Campbell.

Here's a pic my wife posted elsewhere of the whole family with Stan Lee at that comicon:
