A friend asked me to help free up a jam in his Browning Black Label 380. Turns out the primer pocket has no hole so it didn't ignite the powder!

The detonation of the primer pushed the entyre cartridge forward. The bullet hit the rifling and stopped. The brass buckled behind the bullet. The primer bulged out. The gun jammed.

The ammo was bought in a zip lock bag, and is headstamped "A USA 380 AUTO" which I believe is Armscor.

I've seen one like that before - don't remember the headstamp. I've seen one where the primer pocket went all the way through - you could have pushed the primer all the way into the case.

I had some WW .38 super rounds like that but when fired the flash blackened around the primer was all. I saw some smoke and a quick flash of light at the chamber.

A very good example of how ANYBODY, or ANYTHING, or ANY company can make a mistake. No matter who or what.

Mass production of ANY product will always get a percentage of failure stuff. NOT just guns or gun related.

The ONLY maker of anything that has no flaws,, is the one at a time custom builder who individually checks everything & each step of the work all the time.
