If you were planning to buy a case of 6.5CM factory ammo to shoot in a match (PRS/NRL) and then shag brass to reload, what would you pick? (for the brass, all things being equal with the factory ammo quality, accuracy, consistency, etc.)

Norma, Prime, or Hornady?

I've got a fair amount of Hornady American Gunner ammo and brass now that I've been shooting, it works great, very happy with it, etc. No issues with the Hornady, but can get some very good deals on the Prime and or the Norma which I'm a fan of with their 308 brass that I'm on my 4th or 5th firing on.

Do I bring in a new batch of cases to cycle through my reloading / match workflow, or stick with the Honrady and keep headstamp sorting a thing of the past.

Don't have a 6.5cm - yet - so interested to hear what others say. Or, you could just buy them all and let us know how it turns out. :D

I need to confirm internet rumor that the Norma 65CM has crimped primers. In which case if it is, then I'd immediately drop it from my list. I've processed enough crimped brass to know better than willingly pay for it. I know their 308 isn't and I don't recall the 223 being crimped either but need to make a call or two or search further.
I think my choice comes down to adding prime to my hornday stock for a great cost savings, or keep adding hornady.
I may have just answered a lot of my own debate.

Buy whatever shoots the best, all of them can be reloading equally well. Suggest you separate by head stamps for consistency batch to batch.

Ended up keeping head stamps the same instead of saving a few bucks. Cry once.
Picked up a couple cases of match 140's from SGAmmo.
Thanks all for the input.

Stockpile enough new brass to meet your needs. Shoot the Hornady brass until it's reached the end of its lifecycle, then replace with the stockpiled brass. Seems like that would be the easiest route, keeping your brass consistent
