Farmall 560 clean up before pulling season

That ain't gonna get mistaken for an Oliver.
ick. lets hope not.

Although……I could be caught running one of those Super 99 with the supercharged GM diesel in it. mmmmmmhhhhmmmmmmmm. That bish can get it done. Massey had a 98 that is the same tractor (built by Oliver for Massey back in the day) in Massey livery. THAT is sexy as socks on a bullfrog. REDDDDDDDDDD.

anyone know where I can find some square head, 5/16 fine thread 2.5 " long bolts that do not cost $9-$12 each?

Doubt they stock them but fastenal or automotive fasteners might could order them.

Is is truely a square head bolt you need or like a set screw with the square head?

Those red rims you see above, had square-headed bolts that attach them to a clamp that clamped on the rim. There had to be some reason international used the square head bolts. I could use a regular hex head bolt and it would not be a big deal. But just not what came out on it factory. I think the important thing is just to get fine thread due to the clamping that's needed on that rim.

Nice work, I had a cub I sold a few years back. One day I’ll hopefully get a H or M, my great grandpa was a farmall man and that’s what he used. I also am a fan of the old fords as well.

I guess they are going to get ya one way or another!

Got my bolts. Old nuts will work. Well except the one I lost and the one I stripped. LOL. So only had to buy two 7.00 nuts. Ow. Painted my wheel locks silver to contrast on the painted rims.

Buddy found some smaller front rims from the Kubota place. It will take the front end down a few inches. I currently have 16" rims on the front and these new rims are 14". Plus I went to a 4.00 tire from a 6.00 front tire. I am going to put a silver rim on the fronts so they match the rears. Hopefully that will look good.

With her new bling.

Second pic: And I used to detail cars back in the day and run a buffer pretty well. My buddy posted on FB that he has some water spots on his tractor wheels. One person suggested a dremel with an attachment. For God's sake. Any whoo. This when I was finished buffing and he was doing the final polish.

Well. Saturday it was time to put up or shut up. All the new rims & tires and work I had done added up to this weekend. They had a tune and pull in Yadkinville. You pay $10 a class, and pull as many times as you want to get your tractor right. Usually moving weight, pulling in another gear. So I pulled the 6700 7200 & 7700 classes. Mind you last year I pulled about 140 feet and would spin out. I out pulled everyone in all three classes. I was dumbfounded. Like... Pulling 290 feet consistently. Then they had a rain date pull in Boonville at my home track, so to speak. Pulled the same classes that night and won two out of three. The one I didn't win... I had a wierd sound like it missed a lick about 50' down and then it powered out early at 140. Then I pulled the 7700 class right after.... And it pulled 294 feet. 6 foot short of a full pull. Anyway. It all has paid off.

Congrats, Its always great to see the rewards of a lot of hard work. Look forward to seeing you pull at some of the engine/tractor shows

Man, that Denton pull is BUSY. wow. Lots of tractors in a little bitty space.

Denton Farmpark is building a new tractor pull area for that reason. They hope to have it done by this summer. I plan on going there
this Sat for the Military Vehicle show. I will scope it out.

I'll be there. Didn't know about pulling, but I enjoy meandering around. Another favorite is the 100 yrs of progress. I like that one too.

We got all the lights up and running and everything working someone normally electrically. Just wanted to give him a shout out for the help. It wasn't too complicated, but it was nice to have somebody there just to help work through all the thought process.

This will make those late night trailer loadings a little more easy!

That's nice. It does help with the loading. The lights on my 460 haven't worked since Nixon was in office.
You dont happen to have one of the old tractor clear bowl style air breathers do you? (not the ball jar)
