I also much enjoyed "A Christmas Horror Story" on netflix. it's an anthology that works pretty well

I'm down with that. I haven't seen anything that's been disappointing with Walton in it.
 
My wife and I just got done watching this. It's a darker take on Santa in that he has to compete against cheap Chinese labor. We enjoyed the movie. It is a bit slower of a pace, but it gains momentum as it moves forward.
 
It looks like it's $7 rental from Amazon, and entertaining. It appears they're hoping to replace Die Hard as the Christmas action movie. Rotten Maters gave it 46%

Yeah I watched this last week.
I enjoyed it
It's a dark comedy. As the above poster said it a little slower paced but not slow enough to be boring
Walton goggins of justified makes a good villian.

We watched it last night.
It was good enough that I didn't reach for my phone to surf.
Very dark and goes against EVERYTHING that you've ever dreamed Santa to be.
If there was a Santa, this would probably be a documentary.
 
BTW, Jesus doesn't make a Cameo but, Samuel Colt & John Browning do!

The people who know better than us gave it 46 but really 26% because mel gibson is a cis-hetero white male christian oppressor. Real people thought it was pretty good.

UPDATE: it's not on netflix anymore. you gotta pay separately to see it now. It looks like it's only $1 on amazon... so it might be worth it if you have any "no rush shipping" credits. Also, it has william shatner in it, so take that however you want.
 
The wife and I watched it Saturday. Paid the $7 for it. Overpaid by about $7.

Wasn't as funny as I hoped. Wasn't as action packed as I thought it might be. It was just...meh.

Watched it today
It wasn't great. It wasn't bad at all though. it was good. It's hard to do grimdark in the bright snow... but they kind of pulled it off.
I fully expect a sequel where mel teams up with krampus...
 
Yeah. It was hella slow but still a good movie.
 
RS and I watched it......or she did.....I fell asleep.....her critique was that it was Awful......All I know is $7 up the bull's ass.................

It didn't do a thing for either of us. I'm a Gibson and a Goggins fan, but they didn't have much to work with here. The story seemed very flat. I'd give it 2/5 stars, for all that's worth.

I paid $2.99 to rent it on Amazon last night with the wife.

It was worth that.

Nothing more probably, but that... sure. We both enjoyed it relative to the cost. ;)

Saw this was available to buy on Vudu in an email today. $2.99 for SD or $4.99 for HD.
