Favorite Cast Iron Skillet Size #10 or #12

I am looking at picking up a nice cast iron skillet for my sister in law who is getting married soon. I am looking at getting her a Smithey. I cannot decide between a #10 and a#12. I use both. I know there are a lot of cast iron fans here. Which do you own and which do you find you reach for more often than not.

I think for me its the #12 probably 2 to 1.

I use both but, I cook ALOT. The #10 is adequate for the average cook.

We use the 10" more than the 12". But there are only the 2 of us to cook for. I'd still hate to give up the 12", though.

I got by with just a 10" for a while, but now i mainly use a 12".

We use the 12 for nearly everything. But we're also a family of four.

We use both 10 & 12 all the time. When the kids were still in the house we use the 12 and 14 the most. You can not beat cast iron. Grew up using them. Still have the 10 that my mother gave me when I moved out at age 18 and it still looks good. I am now in my sixties and I do not look as good!
