Feb. / Mar. 2020 Rimfire Challenge

Very nice! You do know that you need to be 6 feet from that rifle!!! Gov. Orders!

That day was right before I started going out to 100 at that spot. You can see the first attempt barely at putting a paper target on a tree to test my StrelokPro settings.

Now there is a door propped up behind that tree that I lay across the path to attach targets to. I had to move the table (bench) to the left, but it works. I’m basically out of room at that spot, so if I move further out I’ll have to move further out from the house. I like that spot because I’m only 50yards or so from the house.

I also need some stronger spinners or a less powerful rifle, because it broke the screws with the spinners that were screwed into various trees and to the 50yd target.

I shot two targets and will score them later. Nobody is in danger of losing the top spot. :D

I learned two things today:
1. The CZ455 seems to do real well with S&K Rifle Match
2. If the only target stand you take to the range is a flimsy election sign, your results are gonna suck when the wind picks up

SK rifle match has long been one of my favorite ammos for super consistency at a great price. All of my CZs loved it until the last batch I have. None of my CZs love this batch. Considering past experience, I just think it is the batch.

Getting close to the wire! Kind of looks like lasttombstone and nbkky71 both posted 19 points, but a couple folks think nbkky71 might have a 20. What is everyone's thoughts on this? We need to pick a winner. Also take in to consideration the great target that nbkky71 shot and then withdrew for too many shots! He did a perfect job on that one, hitting all 22 shots. Let's have some input here for a winner!:)

@lasttombstone had five completely inside the black and that is the tie break rule. So in my opinion (and we know that is not worth much) he is the winner. :D

Forgot to post mine from Sunday. A windy day with a political sign as the backer is a bad combo.

I’m going to call this one a 12:

And this one a 14:

I'll put this out there for what it's worth, as already stated. I am not a regular shooter in these matches and don't know if I will shoot next month or not. All my stuff is set up for 25 yds. and I really hate to mess with the scope once I know it is right. Looking at nbkky's target I would judge him a 20/21, especially if you put a plug in that one hole in question. I would give him the honor if it is OK with the match directors.

I think that is honorable of you. Please come back and shoot. It is all in fun anyway!

This is not an official competition, so the fact that nbkky pulled off that one target being perfect (even with one extra shot which was also perfect), I would give it to him for that. Sure, he would have been disqualified in a real match, but this is not a real match. If you don't count that one target with 2 shots, it is also still a 20. There were no rules in there for extra shots, but I totally get how that would work in a different scenario. The guy didn't miss a shot!!!

Otherwise, if it had been a tie, I would most definitely had gone back to tie breaker rules, as that is what they are there for. I just don't think this one was a tie. But both guys shot great!!!!!

I was hoping to get a new scope or a new 22 air rifle to get back into this, but with wage cuts, I won't be spending any money any time soon. I will have to keep shooting my rifle that does not qualify.
