Female-friendly, elementary firearms training in western NC?

I’m in the Boone area.

My wife needs a training course in handgun handling and shooting. I’ve carried for years, but she wants to be able to handle a handgun defensively if I’m not around. I’m fully in favor of this, but I’m not the guy to teach her. She has some right hand strength issues, so DA revolvers are likely out.

Any guidance appreciated!
