Or you could follow this...Capital Armory has a tutorial on YouTube for filling out the cards if you do this yourself.
But you only have 10 days from submission to get them sent in. Didn’t think this through all the way, did ya?
I have cards here I can send you tomorrow if you need them. Order a fingerprint pad from Amazon and have it in a day or two, and you’re in business.
let me know if you need cards...a lot of the local offices aren’t doing them right now, but you can get them done anywhere you want, or do them yourself
then order you a stack for free from the ATF to have for future submissions
Correct. It’s not actually considered Submitted (so your 10 days hasn’t started) until it clears Pending Research. At that time you’ll get another email with the form and cover letter attached. Thanks, I might take you up on the finger print cards. Also, I was told that I would receive an email with a cover letter, copies of my application for CLEO, and "ATF" copies. I submitted the form 1 a few days ago, have yet to receive the email with the cover letter (I've checked spam folders, etc). My application states it is pending research as I designed a new model for the suppressor I'm going to build. However, I just logged into my account with e-BATF and found the cover letter under the electronic documents tab. It doesn't have a control number listed on the cover letter therefore I'm assuming it is incomplete, and that I need to be patient for the email. From what I understand, predominately via a google search (so feel free to tell me I have bad info), it can take up to 10 days for the new model to be loaded into the system and a cover letter sent to the applicant. Is this correct?

As a heads-up...if you’re using an iDevice (not sure if Android devices have the issue), you won’t see the attachments in the default Mail app. You’ll have to log into webmail using a browser, or use a laptop/desktop, or access it through EForms.
In the future, you can also just choose N/A for Model. It’s not required. One less thing to engrave, and you can avoid the Pending Research.
Also, just make sure. You did choose FMI for the Manufacturer Code, right? Instead of putting your name (or trust/corp name) as the Maker?
