There was a dumpster fire in the autonomous zone so citizens of the CHAZ called the Seattle fire department...

What a perfect metaphor

The independent citizens of the autonomous zone were concerned about the blaze, so they put out the fire themselves because after all they are "autonomous." Just kidding. The CHAZ natives called the taxpayer-funded Seattle fire department to put out the dumpster fire because, of course, they did.

But the anti-American and ironically anti-law enforcement region has no fire department.

It must be hard going out on your own, because the self-appointed leaders of this autonomous area seemed unprepared to handle a curve ball which was thrown at them this week.

A dumpster fire struck near the CHAZ border Wednesday night, and demonstrators were reportedly forced to take drastic measures: They apparently had to seek international aide by calling Seattle’s fire department.

Maybe history will repeat, but it wasn’t a socialist caused fire in 1889.

From Wikipedia:
June 7 1889, the great Seattle fire had burned 25 city blocks, including the entire business district, four of the city's wharves, and its railroad terminals. The fire would be called the most destructive fire in the history of Seattle.

Yeah, that would have been a nope if I was a despatcher.
WE HAVE A FIRE IN CHAZ AND WE NEED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
Where?
IN THE AUTONOMOUS ZONE
Where is that?
THE CAPITAL HILL AREA. THERE'S A DUMPSTER ON FIRE
Capital hill of where?
SEATTLE!
Seattle.... Seattle where?
WASHINGTON
I'm sorry, city or state?
THE STATE
Oh, the state as in The United States?
WHAT? NO! JUST SEND A FIRE TRUCK.
Sir or ma'am, this department services Seattle WA USA. If you're not part of the USA...

To protect the rest of the city, send them. But drive slow and cautiously, no need to rush there.

Speaking of the CHAZ - are these people camping or staying in stores or what?

Isn't it FD policy that cops have to clear the scene before they arrive? Did that happen here?
Just depends on the SOP of the department administration but for sure there are certain protocols for certain calls especially on the EMT side where it is SOP for LEO’s to secure the scene for the safety of other responders. The CHAZ calls should fall under that in my opinion due to risks that have been observed in prior actions. If it were my call I’d not roll into CHAZ without security for my men and machines ... all it would take would be a couple idiots decide to throw stuff, steal equipment or even worse directly attack firefighters. The idiots wanted a “free zone” and they’ve had it long enough to make me question what is actually in it and their motivation for calling in a dumpster fire ... sorry but no go even with LEO’s running security. Establish a perimeter outside of CHAZ to contain if the need arises but that’s it ... maybe roll them a fire hose and wrench if I’m feeling nice but none of my people or equipment would enter.

:p

Right now, they're a bunch of criminals making up fancy anagrams to brand their crimes as legitimate. The last damned thing you wanna do is agree with them. Put out the damned fire.

Or... Surround the whole area with firetrucks and hose it ALL down completely. You know, to prevent further fires. ;)

What really is starting to irk me is that if this was about the Feds collecting grazing fees or policing reported NFA violations there'd be bodies and fire, but when it's just left wing anarchists seizing six blocks of a major city everything is ticketyboo.

Wonder how we'd all fare if we decided to claim a chunk of downtown Raleigh for a Conservative Homeland Autonomous Zone?
