I guess this goes here...

I've searched around the web and came up with some different options, but none really to my liking. Anyone have a good recommendation for a logbook to track serial numbers, purchases, sales, etc.?

Free or available for purchase, doesn't matter. Just looking for a good option.

Thanks.

I made my own using excel. I don’t store the serial numbers, but I do record caliber, use reason, type, brand, value, ect.

Back when I had a C&R I used to keep the equivalent of a bound book. These days I just use an excel spreadsheet.

I've been toying with the idea of making an app along these lines. I'd like to have a 1 App solution for

- Firearm tracking
- load workup
- data book
- ballistics
- etc

If you build it, I'll buy it.

I'm actually working on it, it's my "gotta learn JavaScript" project.

In v1 I'm not doing the ballistics calculator though, just providing a dope card template.

There is a template available for Microsoft Access called "Home Inventory" that is preformatted for serial #, date purchased, purchase price, current estimated value, etc. and is easy to attach photos.

I'll happily help test it for you. Maybe a beta version, if you want some feedback... I have a computer and software validation background.

I wrote one using FileMaker Pro a few years ago that I still use. Complete firearm inventory, dates, values, pics, etc. Mac/PC/iOS

It also has reloading data, range logs and calculates "best" load based on those range reports. I probably could/should have sold it, but I got distracted.
