First Friday lunch thread (Charlotte area): next one 5/3/24

Just asked them if they had a standard answer as to how long regulated items take to ship.

Apparently it’s 2-12 business days. 😳

So you ordered one when the sale started? Tuesday was when I ordered. Maybe mine ships today or tomorrow.

Should be on time tomorrow. We got into the house showing today and put in our offer. Of course, it's a house with at least one other bid so no idea if I'm in or out yet. We offered a significant amount of due diligence money and a little over asking price. Now we wait.
The place is in decent shape. New hvac, new hot water tank, new kitchen appliances (including a gas stove!)and new flooring. The room that would be my office has a large walk in closet relative to the size of the room. That's going to be my gun cave if this works out, so I'm mildly excited. The bigger perk though my arsehole neighbor would be gone.
 
Well, the folks selling the house selected a different bid, we're out.
Easy come, easy go. Kind of a disappointment, but I had few wants this place lacked, so I guess I get another crack at it.
 
No pics? No list of attendees?

Dangit, I completely forgot about lunch today. My son and I were going to go trail riding but decided last night to push it until next weekend. I'm even off this week just working on some house projects.

I just took the dog out to pee and got to watch 3 DCFS social workers beat on the door to the neighbor's place. There's 3 of the family cars in the driveway which typically means at least one of them is home. I hope this reflects poorly. Maybe a judge will send him away for dodging juficial orders.
