First Friday lunch thread (Charlotte area): next one 4/5/24

If anybody has a suggestion for next month, let me know. Otherwise we’ll head back to Don’s.

I know one of the Mods in the NC forum on ARF owns a BBQ (I think?) place in Matthews, but I don’t know anything about it.

Anybody else on the forum run a restaurant in the area?
 
If you ever do one in Mooresville, Huntersville, or outside Charlotte proper give me a heads up.

Pick a spot near Huntersville and we’ll do it. Much closer for me. Just hard to beat Don’s place during any phase of this C19 crap.
 
Y’all still up for lunch next Friday? I’m possibly going to be at the range, but nothing firm at this moment.

Figured I’d bump the thread to see who was going. No suggestions for other places, yet. So toss out an idea, or we know Pineville Tavern always takes good care of us.
 
Can't, got doctors appointment that requires me to fast.

I will make an effort to be there. This could be an interesting one, immediately post election. Distance may affect my timing. Have to pick up kids after.

Still planning on the Pineville Tavern at 11:30? I'll eat and run as I'll be headed to the mountains. Muzzleloading comes in Saturday morning.

Shouldn't be near as much post election destruction up there.

Yep. Nobody else made any suggestions, and it’s as safe a place as we can find around here...especially for this week!

Man I wish I could. That’s the only day my wife is off this week and we have got to get some yard work done. If it was an 1-1/2 hours away I’d pop in. Hopefully I can catch the next one.

By the way, there’s a Mexican restaurant in Lexington called Don Juan’s. They have enough outdoor seating for 20-30 people. Just throwing that in the pot for next time. Haha

I was trying to tag you here in case somebody from your area was coming...so I could send you a box of 6.8

Is Don a forum member? I don’t live in the area but we’re up there visiting friends (Indianland/ Waxhaw area) pretty much monthly. Always up to check out a new grub place! There was a poster on the old board that owned a burger joint in Whiteville I ate at several times, I noticed it had closed a while back, can’t remember his handle tho.
Also who’s the mod (on arfcom) that owns the bbq place, I’ll check it out too

Definitely give Pineville Tavern a try. I haven't had a bad meal yet.
 
At lunch this Friday Ill trade someone this stuff for one hamburger sandwich: 1 box of 380 ammo, Redfield 1" rings, rusty magazine for a Carr 380(?) And two crappy scopes
