After selling my suppressor host I wanted to get a threaded Glock 19 Barrel for the time being. I’ve had a SilencerCo Barrel in the past and will compare it to that when I get around to shooting it.

The barrel is $59.99 shipped so I figured I wouldn’t be out much if it wasn’t “great”. I ordered the Barrel and it “shipped” the same day. In reality the company prints a shipping label but doesn’t actually ship it out for a couple more days. I received the barrel today and it has my first impressions from a visual and fitment stand point. Later I will add how it shoots.

From the be website the barrel is made from 416 stainless steel and then heat treated. It has 1/2x28 thread pitch and is a 1 in 16 twist rate. From looking at the barrel it is good quality and no defects. The fitment in the frame is excellent and can seen below.

The threads are cut well with no burs or issues. My suppressor threaded right on with no issues.

The grooves in the barrel are not the deepest cut and when the barrel arrived there was debris inside.

Overall I am thoroughly impressed by it from the visual and fitment aspect. The big thing is to see how well it groups and how long it lasts. At $60 shipped brand new I recommend it for people looking for cheap suppressor host option or for people who want to replace their Glock barrel/ are building an 80% Glock. I’ll update this thread when I get to the range and see how it performs.

Do you have to worry about the threads not being cut perpendicular to the bore (as not to get baffle strikes) or does that not really matter on shorter pistol barrels? Is "looks straight" good enough?

I’m sure it’s possible that it isn’t concentric. I’ve never really worried about something on any of the pistol barrels I have had in the past or other suppressor hosts(Usually AK rifles are the ones I’ve heard to worry about)but I’m sure somebody else on here has a greater knowledge and could chime in. If I had a dowl rod I could check for you. It could be a cause for concern on a cheaper made/quality/price barrel

Remove the barrel and thread the can on. You should be able to look through it in both directions and put your mind at ease at least a little bit. Shine like through it as well and see if you get a perfect circle on the wall.

I've never used one of the rods to check any of mine, including rifles. But I've always eyeballed them to see if they at least looked ok.
