SPI, a Las Vegas-based company, has developed a revolutionary night vision sensor called the X27. But what makes the X27 so advanced? Well, just to begin with, this ultra-sensitive sensor is able to shoot both ordinary images during the day as well as full-color night-vision images.

As the highest performing color low-light sensor imaging system, the X27 is the first of its kind to offer high definition day-like imagery in the darkest conditions. Using breakthrough technology, not only does the X27 outperform the latest night-vision technology, it also able to do so in full-color and is available in both hand-held and camera-core engines for military grade day/night imaging systems

I want some

Me too. I bet that is pretty penny.

Me too!!! I miss the ones that I was signed for in the Army!!! I was signed for 65 sets. We lost an old set of PVS 5s coming home from NTC Ft Erwin, CA. I had CID crawling up my butt with a flashlight. I was found not liable since they had been sub hand receipts to my supply guys. Wooooooo! I was looking at about 7-8 grand for that piece of junk!

Man, that's cool. Could you have that and FLIR tech on the same unit? That would be super awesome.

They weren't stolen. There's only one thief in the military; everyone else is just trying to get their stuff back

SPI is the go to place for everything military night vision...they are almost literally a branch of DARPA and handle the majority of night vision development for them, including the "theoretical" stuff...a lot of tax money going to this private company, but their products are the best.

I remember back when we only had pvs4's and this stuff was all sci fi...we still fought at night, but we lit the hell out of it with illum
