Did the trigger on my latest GP100 today, and I’m extremely pleased with the results. First, I took everything apart, cleaned, and polished al mating surfaces, and applied a small amount of lithium grease. I then installed an eight pound Wilson Combat trigger return spring, and ten pound hammer spring.

Factory double action pull was nine pounds, now it’s six, Single action pull was 4 1/2 pounds, now it’s 2 1/4. I use Wolf SRM primers in my reloads, and it ignites them easily. Forgot to take pics, but decided to tell y’all anyway. Watched online videos for awhile before I got up the courage, but it wasn’t a bad job.

I bet its satisfying to DIY and get the results you want.

I just replaced the springs on my Taurus 627. 10 lbs Wolff. It was fun. I like to tinker.

It’s very satisfying to do something like this for myself! I’ve been modifying AR triggers for years, but this was a whole new ball game. Gonna start watching 1911 videos now......
