Glass and Chrono came in this week and I got to send a few rounds through it today. Man I couldn't be more happy. Pictured are literally the first 10 rounds through the gun. Top right was cold bore after boresighting. Low right was after making elevation and windage adjustments (went the wrong way on wind lol). The rest is an 8 shot group. Ammo was Hornady American Gunner 140gr that I picked up specifically for sight in and plinking. The good stuff I have to try is Hornady 140 eldm, 147 eldm, and Hornady black but I saved them to put on paper later.

I picked one up Friday, cant wait to get out shooting with it.

6.5 or 308?
308...i couldnt decide and then read that 6.5 is harder on the barrels and they can wear out faster. I'll probably never shoot it that much anyways...but id like to.

While you are technically correct you're trading a little bit of barrel life for a huge jump in ballistic efficiency. Plus, most factory creedmoor ammo is relatively slow from what I've seen. The people out there that are pushing 140's up to 2800-2900+ will see a shorter barrel life but people pushing those limits generally don't mind. I was in the same boat and went with 6.5 for the performance considering a new barrel isn't terribly expensive and it would take me a few years to burn the factory one out anyways.

I'm sure you'll be happy with it though!

Thank you! They just released the HMR pro which is speckled black and comes with a trigger tech in case you haven't seen
I have which has thrown a wrench in my plans. I have also been looking at the Howa 24" 308 rifles. Too many choices. The 300 Win mag HMR is also very tempting. I had decided on a .308 but do a fair amount of hunting in beanfields and around Middleburg VA where 500-600 yad shots are not uncommon.
