I was inordinately proud of myself, I must say. Lol. But I still need lots more lessons and various classes. It is nice to know that I can pack up and go on a whim like that, all by myself, though.A woman shooting guns without a man around to show her what to do?
What's this world coming to?
I'm trying to remember when I went shooting alone for the first time. I must have been 8 or 9 and Dad set me loose in the woods with a pump action .22
The most memorable part was me being a tad proud of myself that Dad thought enough of me to let me go alone. Nine years old and on my way to manhood! lol.
I don't even remember shooting anything. I'm sure it was just plinking dirt clods and corn cobs. But I do remember the day that I was allowed to go alone. It cemented two things within me; I am responsible and smart enough to do this, and pump action rifles are my favorite.
Luckily for me I was there when they opened and only saw one other person, and he was a few lanes from me.....it was nice! The early bird gets to shoot almost alone! And I was in and out so fast, maybe not a lot of people like to shoot so early? Fine with me....Sure. Before too long, instead of maybe-kinda someone should be around, you'll be hoping to get the place all to yourself.
