Body Worn Camera video showing deputies in standoff with shooting suspect. **LANGUAGE WARNING**
On October 12, around 2:50 p.m., Pasco Sheriff's Office responded to an active shooting scene at the residence on Constance Dr. in the Gulf Highlands neighborhood in Port Richey. It was reported by witnesses that shooting suspect, Brian Disario (DOB 12-8-86) had shot and killed victim at the home in the garage and was also shooting a gun in the street which lead to a standoff with two of our deputies when they arrived on scene.

At that distance with a red dot on what appeared to be a temporary non-mover, I'm surprised the officer wasn't able to put him down on the spot.

As an aside, as the antigunners would say, why would anyone need more than 10rds? Well, looks like this cop needed more than one 30rd mag.

That officer needs major retraining on the use of a rifle, he is just putting rounds into all those houses behind the target. If he was following department policy, then that department's training staff needs to be fired. That is unexceptable use of a rifle, he is endagering far more people that he is helping.

Where's the rest of it?

Yeah... Lot's of f-ups in that. His fat cop buddy is lucky he didn't get shot in the back as many times as they flagged each other. Also, pretty sure those shields aren't rifle rated...

"He has an AR" but instead of taking cover Ima stand out here in the open. Did they get the guy?

Crazy. Would be interesting to know if any of the initial rounds hit.

Not a gimme shot, and with the adrenalin spike and whatnot I wouldn't be surprised if they all missed.
Not sure what I would have done. Probably pooped in my drawers and sent rounds all over the place, lol.

It might comfort you to kow you would more than likely poop yourself after the adernaline spike. A very close friend who is a Army Ranger told me without fail after contact is over the need to take a dump becomes his # priority. He said it is the same for a lot of guys he has served with.

1) what's up with the spray and pray? That's just absurd. Was that s full auto or did he just have a really itchy finger with no trigger discipline?
2) the approach by both cops sucked. They're lucky they didn't both get nailed. Even with they shield, assuming it was able to stop a bullet, the guys thighs and knees were exposed. Anyone with practice (and optics) to shoot a pie plate at a few hundred yards could make quick work of that.
3) (From the perspective of the other homeowners) you go shooting at me or into my house and I am likely to shoot back. At that point you have become a lethal threat that needs to be stopped before you harm me.
4) It is a good thing that most criminals are less competent than the cops. That guys tactics sucked too. You're not going to prevail standing toe to toe against a larger force. Even our colonial forefathers understood that much.

Yes, this certainly looks like one for policy review, training, and potentially disciplinary action.

LOL at "He's got a high powered rifle."

I'm no tactical god, but if he had hard cover and decent marksmenship all those cops would be dead.

Why is he moving out in the open versus coming up along side of the house and pieing the corner?

ETA: he's a SWAT officer also (probably additional duty, not full time) so he more than likely has a f*#k ton of training hours and that is what he choses as the way to approach?

Lots of serious crimes have been solved because of the need to relieve yourself. I remember on string of burglaries that the guy had pooped in every house, sometimes in the toilet.
