These are the burrs removed from 150 pieces of 223 brass. Burrs interfere with flame spread when primers ignite. They also make swaging when using a Dillon swager a PITA.

Amen to that. Years ago I did that for my competition brass (3k pieces) and it took forever. I usually only do that for my "precision" ammo nowadays. I don't think it makes a significant enough difference for service rifle shooting.
 
I usually only do it on days where its too nasty outside to play. I've found that if I do a couple hundred a day it doesn't hurt my brain too much.
 
I generally use a Lee trimmer for small batches of 223. I put the case in a universal chuck, run the trimmer into the case, deburr the inside and outside of the neck, and then run the flash hole deburring tool into the case. It is quick and easy to add that extra step. It does make the swaging on a Dillon easier.
