Had this Trapper for a few years but never shot it. I'm just not sure if my flint is installed correctly? In some pictures I've seen it looks upside-down but not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Does it spark? That is the question. If it was mine I’d probably flip the flint over and try to clamp it with less leather - but if it’s secure and makes good sparks, I don’t see a problem

The flint is upside down, but that shouldn't make any difference in reality. Like @Red Marley said, if it sparks, it's good to go!
 
Looking closer, I would lose the 2nd layer of leather. It could be that your flint is striking the frizzen too early and your sparks are either not happening (not enough force yet) or happening too early to make it to the pan.
