Meh. I think it's worth the $453 I paid for it, but if I would have paid what the website listed as regular retail, I wouldn't have been too happy.
I'm definitely a Glock fanboi. I like them and I think I shoot them well. Out the box, I do think the Glock trigger is better than the FNS-9C. I found this trigger to be long and mushy.
The ergos on the FN were a bit odd, but it really was only the large grip size front to back. I have a fairly large hand for a shrimp, but I felt the grip needed to be shorter. The gun came with another back strap, but I'm not sure if it's larger or smaller than the one that's already on the gun. So, I'm not going to bash too much. Well, not until I figure out which strap is on it.
The sites are nice. I could see them well, but for whatever reason, the rounds seem to be hitting low. Could be all me, or it could be the sites, or a combination. I just know for me, it seemed low.
At the moment, I'm underwhelmed. But, to be fair, if this is supposed to compare to a G26, I don't have one of those to do a side by side. I just feel this gun isn't all that. I'll put more rounds through it and see if it grows on me.
The target. Not calling any names, but I understand we have a member, maybe two, that can't hit the broad side of a barn. I felt that would be a great test. Since I've never shot a FN of any sort before, could I literally hit the broad side of a barn? Turns out I could. I only put one in the grass, but the rest went in the barn. I handed the gun to my stepdad. He shot four rounds at the sun. I shot the rest. My "sun shots" are marked with an arrow. The distance was roughly 27ft.
