Found a phone...

The standard uniform for a Hooter's girl, but she says it's gotten an little small and tight but it's all she has this morning...... there, ya happy??
Video of the "exchange" or it didn't happen.

I've found two phones...one was unlocked, so all I did was search contacts for a family member (mom or dad), called those numbers, told 'em I found the phone. They called their daughter, who called back, and we made arrangements for her to pick up her phone whilemy youngest daughter and I enjoyed an ice cream at Baskin Robbins.

The other was locked, but was able to dial "emergency numbers" without unlocking. Turned out to belong to a co-worker, who came out to pick it up.

She wanted to tell me the story so bad, but I stopped her. I really don't care why or how it got to where it was, I was rid of it and will think twice before I "find" another one....
Sir, you done good. The next one could belong to one of us. Chin up and keep being a good guy in a world full of douchebags.

I'd have brought it to the business who's parking lot I found it in, and turned it in there. Let them deal with it, and leave you out of it.

I admit I did not. DEFINITELY scrolled past the pics without pausing...

The OP wrote:I hear 'parking lot' and assume it was at a walmart, supermarket, etc.

I said parking lot because if I had said road there would have been 13 inquiries wanting an exact location. LOL...

So she for real showed up in an ill fitting hooter's uniform?

Naw, not really, literary license taken.... dressed like any other Walmartian....

Well instead of starting a new thread will just add on.

Today while out I saw a zipup purse in the road of a strip mall. I picked it up saw that it was a wallet and called the Greenville PD and they told me to come down and drop it off. After spending 20 minutes trying to find a public parking spot, I took it in to the front desk. It had a phone in it but screen was cracked from being run over. When they asked what I needed I told them I had found this purse in the road. Their comment was "ok, so what do you want us to do with it" I took a step back and couldn't believe what I had just heard. I told them "I don't know but better here than in the hands of a criminal with all her cards and info it in" "also her phone has rung once so maybe yall can answer it" The two officers at the desk just laughed in my face and said "ok" and "what is your name, number, and DOB and I guess we'll hold it for a few days" Really wth else are yall going to do with it now, flip a coin to see who keeps it?

I guess next time I'll just leave these types of items in the road...

If it had her ID in it, I'd just try to track her down myself. Can't believe the PD treated it that way. :(

Just mail it to her COD she pays the postage and the fee.
Ahh didn't think of that. Sounds like that might work. Thanks
Or take it in a box to the USPS self-service kiosk, swipe whatever CC card is in the wallet, and mail it to the address on the DL. If cash is in there, you could pay that way as well.

Leave a short note on the shipping receipt saying what you did and drop that in the box before taping it up.
