I bought this and read it. Lots of good intro information. If someone wants it I can meet you in the northern Davidson county area or ship it. Book is free. Looking to give it to someone interested in lr shooting. Best story on why you should get it wins. Let’s say giveaway ends at 5pm on Friday.

I'd like to read that book, because the other day I shot farther than I ever have....didn't hit much but dirt, but I didn't put rounds in the pond, either, or so I was told, meaning I was in the general area of the targets. lol.

I have always been interested in how you go about shooting really long distances, and now I want to know more!
Attempting 300 yards with iron sights was an awesome thing for me, and I hope to get more into it eventually....with scopes, probably, since I can't even see 300 yards....
Thanks for offering this to us!

It is a great book. Covers a lot of material in an easy-to-read style. Excellent for beginners (like me). Highly recommended.
Awesome of you to pass that along.

Like you I'm a novice LR shooter and at my advanced age I could use all the help I can get. :D
Because of your advanced age and assuming you wanna finish it,

you’ll wanna read it quickly. :p

because i listen to him on podcasts a lot, wish he did more of his own Trigger Words podcast, and i've been too lazy to buy it myself.
pretty sure that's not really a cool story, bro, but it's honest.

I have several rifles that I want to choot at 1,000 yards someday... that book would help me, no doubt.
My Quigley Wannabe is a Marlin Cowboy 30-30 with Soule style ladder sight.
Henry Frontier Long Barrel .22 shares that ladder sight, oughta be able to hit steel at 800 yards or more.
Marlin Cowboy 32/327 has a repro flip up ladder sight, will work well at long distance with that short barrel.
There are others, some with scopes, some with iron sights.
I be a lucky old feller, havin' eyeballs that still work with iron sights. ;)

I could use all the help I can get. I'm pretty confident that my reloading process is solid. I've narrowed the issue down to the nut that holds the trigger.

The furthest I've been out to is 962 yards. I was optimistic when I got a first round hit at 906 and about 50% hits after that but that target was almost 2 x 2 MOA. The steel at 962 was about 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 MOA. That one I only scared. I didn't even bother with the one that was just taunting me out at 1,680.

My range goes out to 400 but the club holds monthly, members-only matches off site at 600 & 1,000. Anything that might help avoid embarrassment would be gratefully appreciated. My goal for my first match is lofty; all rounds on paper and no DQ.
