I ordered some ammo from this relatively new company, just to test it out and see if its worth it, prices are good for new ammo and even better for reloads, so on dec 22nd I ordered 100 rounds of 9mm 124 grn hp new ammo..it said it was in stock, now first off I noticed that they were out of stock on most of their ammo, but the reviews I read all raved about how different guns just ate it up with no problems, that and it was very accurate, so I decided to try some, well My order has yet to be filled or shipped, when I emailed customer service to ask what the holdup was, I got a reply that gave me lots of useless info and advice but didn’t answer my question as to why is taking so long...a week later. I sent another email asking what the holdup was , I got the exact same form letter from a different person, with the same useless info and apologies, but no answers to my questions..has anyone else used them, what was your experience with them? As for me I will not use them again, customer service sucks and a 3week wait and still not filled or shipped and still no answers as to why, its not worth the savings, I would rather pay a few cents more a round and get it in a timely fashion than to wait so long to get my ammo..thankfully its been to freaking cold to shoot...ok end of rant....this stuff just makes me crazy, there is no reason they cant answer my question.

Great....guess what I ordered 750 rounds of last night? 9mm 124gr HP from Freedom Munitions.

Man that's a pain, sorry to hear it. I've ordered from Freedom before and had good results. Mike of Mrgunsngear fame offers promo codes for an extra 5% off your order.

But agreed, if I had to wait for three weeks with no explanation I'd probably not go back.

Guys, slow shipping times with Freedom Munitions is nothing new. That is one of the reasons I have yet to order from them

Google freedom munition slow shipping times. I once read somewhere that you buy from them not to shoot within the next month but to stock up lol

I ordered 750rds of 147gr on 12/26. It shipped on 12/27 and arrived 1/5. :p

But...as a general rule, I never wait and order ammo when I need it. Always before that, whenever I run across a deal.

I use the Extreme Bullets but only a little of their ammo. Never had a problem, and good prices on sale.

Sometimes they get slammed but I've always received my orders a week later, they ship out of Seattle.

Today they sent an email to apologize for slow shipping and email problems.

Sometimes they're slow, sometimes they're fast. The ammo is great. Usually when they have a big sale or offer free shipping it can take 3-4 weeks to get the ammo. When I order ammo from them, I know I might have to wait a while. It's good ammo at good price, just allow for the lead time.

I too try to buy when I find deals. Ordered from PSA on 1/28 and they should finally be delivered today.

EDIT: Oops...that shudda been 12/28. This was an order to max out the American Eagle rebate.

Being delivered in this?

Don't be silly. That's not secure.

I just thought that since it was being delivered 19 days before you ordered it....

Isn't freedom the ones notorious for blowing up guns ? I would skip them personally...

Oops.
Artificial intelligence?
Predictive replenishment?
First morning post before caffeine?

Thought that was Georgia Arms

Anyhow, discount code GarandThumb gets y’all 5% off.

I like them and their sister company Xtreme. Never had these kind of issues. Maybe they filled a lot of holiday orders or people from California are slamming them before the law changed? No excuse for the CS though

Last time I ordered it was 3 weeks before they shipped. That was for 2 boxesof 9 and 2 of 45. When I ordered a 1000 rounds or 223 a couple of months earlier that took 2 weeks total. I think they fill large orders first. Now I order from SGAmmo or Academy and get the order within a week. SGAmmo is very up front about their shipping prices as well.

Try Outdoor Limited

I 've ordered (and shot most of) 10,000 rounds of their new (not reman) 124 gr 9mm and 230 gr 45acp in the past year or so. Not one hiccup.
That said, they do ship very slow.

Did a google search for "freedom munitions blown up rifle" seems there are quite a few out there. This problem pre dates the ca law by years. I don't know about you guys but slow shipping and blown up guns seems like a bad way to do buisness...

I have shot thousands of their reloads with no problems. Defender Ammunition is also a really good company.

And Defender is local to NC (near Raeford/Fayetteville), and a veteran owned business. Nice guys and excellent product!

I ordered ammo from PSA on 12/22, and it showed up yesterday. That's slow, even for them.

Im having the same issue with PSA ATM I suppose its the sale they had and the weather.

This time of year I always look at shipping times very loosely. Everyone is running stupid good sales, weather sucks, and it’s the holidays.

As far as Freedom Munitions goes, they have a history of slow ship times, but their product seems solid.

Now UPS is showing tomorrow. Glad I'm not in desperate need of it.

If you ever find yourself in desperate need of ammo, order somewhere else than Freedom Munitions. If you're able to plan ahead and order in advance, they are the people to order from.

Lucky Gunner is very fast to ship but ammo prices and shipping are a little higher. I have gotten very good product from both.

Just buy from outdoors limited. Very good prices, and the first thing you see on their sight is shipping time. Everytime I have ordered I get my order in just a few days. They normally ship next day. I highly recommend them.

Natchez has Blazer brass 9mm $180 case of 1,000 ships free.

I ordered several thousand rounds of 147 gr. 9mm, never an issue, always worked well. Also a couple k of 193 ball. When I ordered I made sure I was not in a rush. I haven't ordered from them in last year or so. With the downward price trend on ammo lately, I don't think they are competitive on new .223/5.56. I got 1k of wolf gold (pmc) for under .30 PPR, and after Xmas got 2k of Lake City .223 for $485 out the door. And very fast shipping. The Armory in VA has some good deals and shipping is always 2 days.

***Edit: I also purchased 500 rnds of .300 AAC 220 gr subs from Mid America Arms. That is the first and last time I will ever order from them. The ammo was in stock but it took a few emails and 2 calls for them to get it to me 4 weeks later. Then when I got it I started loading a mag and after handling 7 or so rounds my hands were black. Don't know if its lube or lead or what, but this crap is dirty.

Being a "The glass is half full" type of guy, I bought a lyman Turbo Pro 1200 vibratory tumbler and some corn cob media to clean it up. When the tumbler came in the wife say's "What's that for?" I reply "umm, to tumble those rough gemstones you dug up at the mines?"

She did not buy it ;)

9 days.....I ordered on the 8th, and just now got a shipping confirmation. We'll see if the UPS package actually makes it into the system today, or if they just printed a label.

9 days to get a ship notice....another 8 days to received delivery.

17 days total from order to delivery.
