Like I said she wants her to get to try some of our best BBQ. They will be in the Raliegh area and also in Asheboro but she wants to know if you all know of good BBQ in that area.....

Since your profile says near W-S, I would recommend finding a place in Lexington if only because it’s got name recognition.

For the best food, I would go with Keaton’s BBQ on Cool Springs Rd in Cleveland, near Statesville, it it’s still open. It’s chicken, not pork, but made the top 50 list of best BBQ in the nation.

Keaton's is the bomb!!

I like speedy's in Lexington and the smoke pit in Salisbury and concord.

well her and her friend will be staying in Raleigh
oh and I'll need addresses if possible
What side of Raleigh? Wake county is huge. I can direct them, but it is nearly an hour and a half from northeastern Wake county to southwest Wake county. It's not all Raleigh, but Raleigh is spread out.

Oh, it's still open, but weird hours. This would be my vote.

Not sure of the address but shouldn’t be hard to find. ;)

On the way from Raleigh to Asheboro, stop off in Graham at Hursey's.

Good Lord don't direct them to that crap they call BBQ in Lexington... That dump is not indicative of NC BBQ...

Only heathens put ketchup in their BBQ sauce...

If they are in Raleigh, Clyde Coopers downtown is the real deal. Old Time on Hillsborough is solid. Honestly, City BBQ is really good for a small chain too. If they happen across the Humble Pig food truck you won't be disappointed. Another option is Brew N Cue or Big Mike's in Cary/Apex...

I second old time bbq on hillsborough rd.

Speedy's is my favorite, but that's Lexington.
Sorry, Eddie, I cant recommend anything in Raleigh, never had BBQ there before. So rarely go there anyway.
Best of luck.

Oh, I agree that Keaton's is great, but not in the general vicinity of Raleigh. But it sure makes a nice little country drive from where I live.

I haven’t tried Ricks yet. It’s 3 minutes from My office and it always smells good when I ride by.
It became my favorite. I used to love Honeymonks (Lexington BBQ), but I think they chop it too fine and it lose's texture. They have bangin' hush puppies too! And smoked mac n cheese!

City and Big Mike’s? :(

Aye! Stephensons BBQ is quite Awesome! Bring Cash money as they don't take plastic as I recall. Also Charlie's BBQ in the Clayton/Garner area is really, really good.

Buxton bbq hall in asheville and redneck bbq lab in benson.

Good call! The barbecue lab is really good!

Buxton is my favorite BBQ place in Asheville but I think that's a little out of their way...

Either way I can appreciate your taste in BBQ...

Another option is Doug Sauls in Nashville on US 64 Bus. My favorite place before the Pick-n-Pig. Lived just around the corner in Bailey, in-laws lived in Spring Hope. Only thing that made going back down east bearable.

Vinegar and crushed red pepper does not constitute BBQ!!!

Let the dog pile begin hahahaha!!!
And you have the audacity to list JoCo as your county of residence.
