From the "Divine hand of intervention" file.
One of Ines' (mentioned in another thread re: cancer) sons in an EMT in Florida. He is well aware of the symptoms and protocols for COVID.
When he returned recently from visiting his father in PR, he called to do the pre-screening before a scheduled procedure. He has zero symptoms. No fever, nothing. They took his vitals and did the antigen test for COVID. And sent him home.
That test came back positive. They called him back so they could check his PSO2. When he arrived, they brought out a wheel chair per their protocol. As soon as he sat in the chair he passed out.
He woke up a few days later with tubes down his throat.
They told him that is PSO2 was just 30 when he arrived. They said it was a minor miracle that he didn't pass out while driving back.
He's home now and healthy again.

I guess he still has more to accomplish in the world. Great news.

That's 2 on my wife's side who had no symptoms other than low PSO2.
But my SIL at least felt like she was having an asthma episode and she was at 60%.
Maybe the fact that Pilo is greatly over weight and maybe accustomed to operating on low O2 had something to do with. Or he has lost a lot of weight since I last saw him as has become a super efficient breathing machine.
Still, with all the training he went through, all the precautions he followed, he got it. Timing says he got it in PR or on the plane trip back.
