Made it out @Frontline Defense to check out the range and to shoot for an hour. Dale provided a thorough tour and Paul gave me a rundown of the range, rules, membership.

I had a great time out there and wanted to compliment Paul on a first class operation.

I'll be back... Hopefully to join!!!

I remember when it was just a clear field with some chairs and wooden boxes to shoot on top of. No stalls or cover, just lots of muddy clay. It's come a long way!

Frontline Defense, it's worth the trip!

We need something like that southeast of Raleigh. Maybe they can start a franchise. ;)

Problem is finding the land that is not near any residential development and zoning to allow a range like FLD,
that is why FLD is where it is, Paul did his homework.

Check out 37 PSR in Bunnlevel. Well worth it :)

Somewhere between Goldsboro, Fayetteville, and Wilmywood with a 1K range would be wonderful. Maybe someplace around Clinton or Wallace? Does 37 PSR have a 1K range?

Sweet sufferin succatash! First, it was shade and a port-a-potty; next, tables and chairs and poured concrete; now a roof, electricity and running water - and, can you believe it, a commode. Heavens to Mergatroyd! What next, valet parking, bellhops, bidet and complementary Sherry post Shooting? ::shakes head::

And, just in case => ;)

All we have on our neighborhood range are yellow flies, chiggers, and fire ants, with a few ticks thrown in for good measure. :(

I don't know what I am looking forward to more: The flush toilets or the dedicated rimfire range.

They do have a long range available to members but I can't remember exactly how far out it actually goes. I do remember it was off-site a few miles but not far. It's been 3 years or so since I moved down here to FL....and my memory is fading with age lol.

Give them a call for details.

took my first ride out there when it had just been cut over and saw a whole flock of turkeys run across the road in front of me; saw that as a good sign out in the middle of no where. Joined up right away. Quality place and I see the ride out as a beautiful ride to enjoy some me time.
