I've had all this week off but the miserable weather prevented me from going down to the rifle range. So I dug out an old Daisy 853 air rifle that I purchased from the CMP years ago, up at Camp Perry.

I had forgotten how fun they are to shoot and just how accurate they can be. I didn't have any airgun targets, but some 1" orange dots sufficed at 10m. It made for a fun afternoon :)

5 rounds prone

... and 5 offhand (with a WIDE miss)

Good on ya. I find a way to shoot something anytime I get the urge. I even shoot my slingshots at least once a week.

Air rifles are great skill builders and rarely annoy the neighborhood. Cheap to shoot too.

Ya know... looking at those dots I was thinking that I did some pretty good shooting. But when I ran the image through OnTarget, that came out to a 1.9MOA group! Nowhere near tight enough to win an air rifle match!

You are shooting with a BB gun. Leave the technology on the shelf and use eyeball. That's good shooting to me!
