For what it's worth, I sympathize with you on the low-ball trade/sell prices from FG&G. That's just the way they and most other LGS's are nowadays in my experience . In the past, I too was offered well below what I considered a good price on several firearms I brought in to them including a few modern piece in very good condition. No hard feelings. So long as you're not in a huge hurry,youI can typically get a much better price in a private sale anyway.
That aside, I've been doing business with FG&G for over decade now and otherwise consider them to be one of the fairest and most honest LGS's I've ever done business with. Just this summer that relationship was tested when I purchased something that turned out to have a moderate defect that I was not happy about. Needless to say, where most other LGS's would have probably told me to pound sand, they definitely went above and beyond to make it right for me without any argument.
