Game/Trail Camera

I've got Primos also - low glow. Not much difference in price between no or low glow. The deer don't really care. Once in while a deer will come look at my camera but it doesn't frighten them. Get whichever you like.

C05D97F3-32B8-442E-9B41-F44D5771B666.jpeg I bought 2 wild game innovation Terra 10 cameras a couple weeks ago. They have IR leds that flash red. Seem to take decent pics for what I paid for em

I was into homebrews for a while. I was using Sony P41 (iirc) cameras for my builds.

The last camera I bought was a Primos bulletproof on sale for $24.99. I was really surprised at how well it performed, considering what I paid for it.

Any updates from last year? I just dropped a cam & screwed it up :(
Still using the same ones i mentioned above. They stayed out this whole past year and are still doing great

I added a Moultrie m-50, and a Browning Strike Force pro/xd.
Both work pretty well, but miss some activity.

Also tried a Bushnell Trophycam HD. But, it died after 31 days. Amazon took it back.

We run at least half a dozen Browning cameras.... as the other name brand cameras die off we replace them with Brownings as well. Best cameras we've ever ran and we've had a bunch.

I set up my cameras before the season as always (couple of Moultries) and had deer on camera all the time in various spots.

Per usual, by hunting season they are all gone. I stopped messing with the cams, and here they come again.

I think I’m about done with trail cams and putting out feed and all the other stuff. Good scouting before the season to find the point between food sources, water, and bedding, is way better than going in and messing with a feeder (or dragging buckets of whatever feed, I don’t even own a feeder) and trail cams and leaving scent all over. At least that’s what I’m experiencing.

I have a variety but just purchased my first Browning-licensed camera, Command Ops 14MP. WOW what a great camera for what I paid. Academy was running them for $70 and I should have bought a half dozen at that price.

Otherwise, the A series Moultries that I have had thru the years are decent cams (but without sound and moon phase and temp like the Browning)

My future cams will all be Browning cameras. Unless I go with Moultrie M series and Moultrie Mobile setups.8pointer_1.JPG 8point_licking_branch_Moment(2).jpg

More than likely what's happen is during the season the deer go into pre-rut, rut and post rut patterns. I use cams to take inventory of various deer, what they're feeding on and when, and where my does are. When you have live bait you wanna keep tabs on em.

I don’t disagree at all. I’ve tried hunting where I want to hunt by bringing them in with food. But truth be told, the big bucks that I’ll wait a year to kill are in the areas that I don’t mess with before the season.

For a doe just to put some meat in the freezer...yeah girl, come get them sweet potatoes and corn.

Speaking of the rut; it has been beyond disappointing for me this year so far.

Spotted 2 six pointers and an 8 licking the mineral block at my back fence this morning at 7:30. Going to get cams ordered today. Too many choices but it looks like Browning overall is pretty good for the price, then the Moultries.

Not a totally comprehensive test. But there is a link to additional info.

From the test page-

"The #1 thing you need to take into account is the Detection Shootout is the ultimate test of a camera's ability to detect and record activity. However, this is not the only consideration you should make when buying a camera. This test does not account for picture quality, battery life, video detection, case design, programming, etc."
