Last week. I'm in PA, wife texts me that garage fridge is warm. She called the neighbor who had a spare in his shed running, she packed the garage freezer and took stuff over.
Got home and picked at fridge, things tested good on the meter and plugged it I'm and good to go for a few days.
Wednesday at work, new text. Fridge warm again. Found it short cycling the compressor, compressor hot and would pull 12 amps. Compressor windings tested good on ohms. Ordered new compressor relay. Plugged it in tonight and and compressor pulls 1.3 amps.
Will monitor. The good thing is that my neighbor will be getting another fridge from a friend that is still good but unwanted. The current fridge and stand up freezer both in the garage came from him knowing people getting rid of appliances.
