Gerber Flatiron...... The sharpest tool I've ever held....

Straight edge/sheepsfoot/coping/wharncliffe blades are superior for shop use as chip / coping knives. I typically carry a whittler or stockman that has one of these blades; perfect for notching, cutting coupons, opening envelopes, etc.

Nice! I really want one of these but Amazon is saying 2 months before shipping.... have to see if I can find one local in Rock Hill... just what I need another knife ;)

There are good reasons that there are so many profiles/types of blades styles. This style excels in slicing cuts and shaving material off things. If you want a pokey knife get a pointy profile. Some things you want to cut, some things you want to hack, chop or cleave, and some things you want to stab.........I just like blades.

Blades with a shape like that go back even to the Viking Seax.

Also, sometimes people just like the way they look. I know I do. Id buy one, but I am busy saving money for another CZ that Ill probably not shoot nearly as much as I should but will fill a hole in my life that was left when I found out Chdamn doesn't really love me the way he should.
He's fickle like that.

Nice knife too!
