Trying to get a little serious (difficult for me!) about hunting the ML this year.
It's my first muzzle loader long gun: a TC Impact with a Weaver 3-9 x 40 mounted. Caveat: if a blunderbuss from a kit is considered "long," then it's my second!
First time out with it last year, I got the ramrod & a cleaning patch jammed so hard I had to take it apart at home and whack at it with a mallet and a dowel. Derp.
This year at sight in, things went a little better.
2 @ 250gr copper jacketed ballistic tip, 1 240gr lead, both sabot'd, 100 yds. I think that might be MOV!
Went scouting today. Pics don't show steepness; misstep would have led to a nice bath...
Found some recipe enhancers! Too bad they'll be gone by my hunt...
Close up
As always, the lead up is at least as much fun as -- if yer lucky! -- takin' the shot!
