Glock 19X

You can cut a 17 frame to 19 size and 19 frame to 26 size with less than a days worth of effort. You can also buy a lot of full size glocks at bargain prices these days.

Mag sleeves to upsize guns is kind of goofy in my opinion. The resulting grip shape is usually not good and they tend to pinch.

This is what I do with my 17s: my own grip reduction to G19 size. Concealability of the 19 and shootability of the 17.

My buddy picked one up about a week ago and has put 1000 rounds of mixed ammo through it. He let me borrow it for an IDPA match that I got my first ever match win in last night. Dirty dirty DIRTY gun. Hasn't cleaned it yet and no malfunctions. The only weird part is the inside of the slide closest to the muzzle has a purple/blue hue to it. Never seen that before.

probably buying one tomorrow. At first I didnt even take a second look. But hearing some good reviews. Why not...

I was able to hold one of these at my LGS last week when I picked up my new Gen 5 34 MOS. The 19X is surprisingly really nice in the hand. The balance is what really surprised me. I’m not sure I will buy one, but I didn’t hate it.

my local guy has one $600 plus tax. He can keep it. I will keep shooting my FNS9 with it's low 17rd capacity, 4 inch barrel, and factory NS.
FN makes some of the best poly pistols of all time.

I've been carrying a G26 with a G19 mag and mag sleeve for some time. 16 round G26 that feels just right to my midget hands. Maybe this configuration will show up later as a Gen...something or other.

I’ve read rumors on glocktalk.com of the 19x getting the gen 5 treatment, i.e.-black finish with magwell, cutout, etc. If/when that happens, I’ll own one. I’m not the biggest fan of the FDE and the fact it can’t accept 17rd gen 5 mags. One of Glocks biggest selling points is mag universality, not sure why they limited the current 19x from accepting the gen 5 mags with the lip.

Why on earth would anyone want a full size frame with a compact slide????
Glock is late to the party on this. FNs 9 is the same idea. As is the FN509. And don’t forget the Cold Combat Commander 1911 which is a 4 1/4” barrel on a full size frame. But when glock does it people get mad. The 19x wasn’t made for concealment. As AT said maybe they should have named it the 17k instead.

I took mine out this afternoon for its first range trip. It didn’t do very well, 6 ftfs and 1 failure to lock back in 250rds. All the failures though seemed to occur with some old re-manufactured Freedom Munitions stuff, so I’m not blaming the gun just yet. It cycles through the “new” Freedom Munitions loads fine as well as a box of HSTs.

I’ll give it another few hundred rds to prove itself on my next range trip. It can stay dirty and think about what it did wrong in my safe til then...heh...

I've had the opportunity to shoot one of these next to my Glock 19 Gen3. This pistol is no joke. Others can call it a "solution to a nonexistent problem" if they want to, but I'll definitely be getting one. The balance is really nice....very shootable. As for concealed carry, it's only a fraction of an inch longer in the grip than my VP9, which I can conceal with no problem.

They had help from a litte known American with that one. What was his name again?

He had a little bit to do with it but really the BHP is more Saive’s the man JMBs IMHO.

Messed around with one today and I am really tempted to get one. Grab a gun has them for $534 + $7.99 shipping. I can get out the door at $563. This is less than the GSSF or LEO price. So many guns with so little $$$ and only so much room in the safe and the range bag. LOL
