Looking at getting an 45 ACP for carry. Currently have a 1911, but it's not carry friendly as it has target sights on it with sharp edges. Looking as either a Glock 30 Gen 4, a Sig Sauer P320 (already have one in 9mm), or a HK45C. I have a Glock 45 Gen 5, 9mm. Never noticed any brass bulges (Glock Smile) issues due to the chamber not being fully supported. Read these problems were worse in the Gen 1 and 2 guns especially chambered in 40 S&W. A lot of forum post say the issues has been resolved, others say it was only an issue with 40 S&W, some say they have never seen a bulge from their gun, others say every case from theirs is bulged, etc. I reload, and want to fire reloads in the gun and reuse my brass. Prefer not to have any bulge issues weakening my cases near the rear of the case. Thought I'd ask here if anybody has a Glock 30 and if they noticed any serious bulging in the ejected cases.

Bear in mind that it's been a number of years since I owned a G30, but I don't recall ever having issues with bulged brass. The chamber pressures for .45ACP are pretty low compared to other calibers

Can always get a bulge buster die for your brass if you are worried...
Not as worried about being able to fix a bulge as I am the brass being worked and weakened near the rear of the case. Sound like it won't be much of an issue anyway. Now just to decide on which 45 I want. I appreciate all the replies!

I get it. You're right though. Pretty much a non issue...

I have scrounged a lot of range brass off of the ground when I go to the range. I've seen a lot of "glocked" .40 brass, and I have even seen a few in 380, but I have NEVER seen a bulged 45acp case. I agree with @nbkky71, the chamber pressures for 45acp are very low compared to 40 and that may be why.

I said "never", but I have seen 45acp that had fired slightly out-of-battery in a pistol caliber carbine, but that does not apply to your situation. They were bulged full circumference, not a smiley-face type bulge.
