Requirements:
1) Must fit a G48. From my limited understanding, most designed for the G43/G43x will fit and work.
2) Nothing flat faced. Just personal preference there.
3) that skinny little bar in the middle has to go. Uncomfortable as heck. Not against a trigger safety, but must be wider and more comfortable than the stock version.

What is your favorite? Give me the good, bad, and ugly of your preferred system.

I like the VTAC flat shoe best for the money, but it's obviously not for you. Don't have any experience with aftermarket triggers other than the Overwatch, Monarch, and VTAC. All of them are flat...

I too dislike flat trigger shoes.

I put this on my 43 when I had it.

Currently have this on my shield. Fantastic shoes.

No info here, All stock all the time on Gs here.

ETA...My experience here is over a 15 year period and hundreds of shooters shooting tens of thousands of rounds. That said, Not counting ammo duds, Every Glock that I have seen malfunction here had been "hot Rodded" in some way.
I have No recollection of ever seeing a Stock Glock anything malfunction while I was present on the range.
EVERY Glock, and there have been quite a few, that I have seen malfunction had it's innards "worked" on. As long as work is to the Outside, frame, slide, never a probem.
Those are my personal observations. Again over a 15 year period including hundreds of Gs of all models firing 10s of thousands of rounds.
This coincides with Chuck Taylor's 30 year 300,000 round test of a single Stock Glock 17. He replaced the plastic sights several times because he wanted to know how long they would last on average. He replaced a couple more parts but always stock parts to keep the test valid.
Make of this what you will. Just more info in the pot.

I took to the Glock trigger right away, so I guess my answer is "stock".

I tend to be "stock Glock" all the way, though I did change the sights on my 21 and my 30sf. I liked the Gen 5 sights well enough on my 19 (though I may put Ameriglos on it some day).

What did you like and dislike about this one?

The shoes are great! I couldn't get on board with the 43 itself even after the shoe swap. Glock is good stuff, just doesn't work for me. The m&p does exactly what I tell it to.

As far as the shoes go, I like how light the trigger safety is. Can't feel it on my current application while firing. The shoe changes the geometry/pull/reset ever so slightly for the better. They are nicely machined, and with a little hand work on the factory internals in my shield, it's got a better trigger than the 2.0 imo. If your location wasn't some place I've never heard of, I'd say you're welcome to feel it up; seems far away.

Thanks...this is exactly the kind of info Im looking for

I usually change to Ghost connectors and leave everything else alone. I was fully expecting to change the connector in my G48 but I found out that it had the best out of the box triggers of any Glock I've owned.
I have a very early 3rd Gen G17 that has an Agency Arms trigger in it. I can't tell much difference in it and the factory trigger. The G17 does have a smooth face trigger and the others have grooved triggers. I have put the G17 trigger in my G19.

I don't really mind the stock trigger in the 48 so much except it feels hard and heavy and that makes that trigger very uncomfortable to me.
As far as take up and break go, it's very much acceptable, just heavy and uncomfortable.
How did the Ghost connector improve it for you? Was it just pull weight? What did you like/dislike about it?

The Glock connector is very easy to change. The Ghost connector will change the take up a little, make the break just a little crisper and lighter, and shorten the take up a tad. Or, it's all in my imagination. It does lighten the pull a little. But, it's a striker fired gun, you're not going to get a 1911 triger.

I opted for the glock connector rather than the ghost after reading and watching a lot. I think it was referred to as the minus connector; could be wrong as it's been a while since I had the 19 and 43. It was an oem piece.

Not looking for 1911...unobtanium in anything but 1911s lol
So lightened it up a bit...there's my nugget here ;)
Thank you, sir

I'll give that a look, too

All I've used is the Ghost. It's polished and makes it a little smoother.

Put a ghost connector for $20 in and be done. Go from 5lbs to 3.5lbs pull. It made a huge difference in my shot placement. I could hit the paper after.

I was still in school earlier, but now Ive got time to deal with you two knuckleheads lol

@draco88 why you want to buy a trigger for a gun you’ll be selling anyway? :p

Not planning on selling it...at least not anytime soon.
I have fired plenty of them, taken a few on trade and immediately resold. I have never owned one any significant amount of time nor fired more than just a box or two of ammo through one at any given time. Every time Im in a gun shop I pick one up and try to like it, but I couldn't.
Until I picked up the 48. So far, it's the best feeling one I have ever picked up. Probably because it's thinner than a 19 for my little hands and a touch longer in the grip than a 43.
I have always hated them, that's no secret. It's also not a secret that I never deny that they work, and work well for a lot of people.
Call me crazy, or whatever else you want, but I bought this one with the express intention of doing everything I can to give it a fair shake and change my mind about Glocks in general. And that is what I intend to do.
A lot of Glock guys say to change this or that as soon as they get one. Well, mine now has near 900 rounds through it and it's time to see if the upgrades most recommend can sway me any further.
I plan on shooting minimum 5k through it before I make up my mind about it. I may grow to like it, or simply tolerate it, or even reinforce my hate...who knows? But, I'm going to find out lol

Yeah, I wondered about that too. Doesn't CZ make a trigger that will drop right in?

Yeah, but Id have to upgrade the frame and slide first, then replace a striker assembly with a sear cage...might as well buy a new gun at that point :p

Its a no brainer get the Overwatch Precision Falx. Last year I tried a bunch. They have a flat one, but I detest flat triggers. The Falx is a slightly decrease curve compared to the stock Glock. And the bar is NP3 coated. You can feel the lighter trigger pull from the coating. It dropped my Glock 43x from 6lbs to 5 lbs.

I can't stand the raised stock trigger safety. Drives me nuts, especially after 50-100 rounds where I am just starting to enjoy myself. Probably could have took a (GASP) dremel to it. But instead I bought a Kineti-tech shoe and installed it with a vice onto my trigger bar.

The KT has four different choices for shoe shape. I elected to be cheap and install the semi-flat on my own bar. But I would just have them include polished bar if I were to do it again. Pressing in new trigger pin is a bitch. If I get another one, I'll likely follow Strakhertz advice and spend a bit more. But I am happy with this one and price is hard to beat.

Did you install a (-) connector at the same time or just the trigger shoe and bar?

I have put the Edge trigger from glocktriggers.com in my 17 and 19.
No issues with either of them, all factory parts, just highly polished with the "hump" knocked out.

I put a Ghost Edge connector in the day I got it. That took it from 6 1/2 lbs to . The Overwatch came about a week later. The Overwatch took it down to a 5. The Ghost edge connector is superior to the (-). And its a drop in connector for 20-25$.

By the way, I have done as much to the trigger without changing the striker spring and compromising reliability that can be done. I still hate it. The CZ Shadow 2 has ruined me. At this point I have added 260$ to this gun with the Overwatch trigger, the Ghost Edge connector, the Vickers slide release, the Night Fission night sights, and I still cannot decide weather I want to keep it. I still like the Apexed Shield trigger a lot more than the 43X when shooting.

Now, look....what's wrong with Glock triggers?

I just got a G19, my first Glock, and now I hear all this "replacement triggers" talk!

I haven't even gotten to the range with my new gun yet.....have mercy on a poor newbie!

You don’t get ‘Perfection’ at Glock prices. Shoot it a bunch and then decide if you want or need any upgrades. You might think it is fine.

Although some dry firing or range rental might have told you that upfront.

Dont sweat this thread...shoot your gun and learn it. Decide about this stuff later when you have more experience.

Hey, I did my due diligence and tried before I "buyed"....I gave the gun about 100 rounds to convince me. That's not a whole lot for how I shoot, but it was what I had to work with, they make you use their ammo in the rentals (booo, hisss).
It's a trigger. It shot the gun. I don't get it. Am I supposed to notice something about it? I did see the little thingy inside the trigger, but so what? Lol. What am I missing....again?
It feels fine in dry firing, too. I'm still new enough not to be able to tell much about this stuff, but it felt ok to me, so maybe I'll be fine with it. I'll let you know in about 1,000 rounds. Or after I hit the range tomorrow.

I might be a tad sensitive about my new gun after all the stuff that's been going on with my other guns...lol...
It's kinda cute that you think I'll ever have the experience to know/decide about these things!!

Then just shoot it. Sounds like it will be fine for you. A lot of people like stock triggers just fine. And the targets or criminals can’t tell the difference!

LoL. You're right....

I still hate it.
To which I reply.....SPOING! I hate em all too. I still believe if you take a shooter with NO experience and start him on the Glock trigger, he will master it. Taking an Ole Hardside like me with a Half Century of 1911 hard wiring...you gotta Problem. I still on occasion get Snatchy, snatchy, snatchy...I ain't quitin tryin.

Check out Wheaton Arms (Robbie Wheaton) - in Piedmont, SC. They make a fantastic Glock trigger. Not sure if they have one for the G48 yet.. (?)
Their triggers are 100% reliable for concealed carry or duty, and are approved and used by several SWAT teams in the Carolinas.

I am to be the receiver off one of these soon graciously sent to us from the manufacturer through Hashknife. I will make system checks on a "spare" G and then recheck after installation. ALWAYS open to new knowledge. This is a man who is certain of his product otherwise why take a chance to send it to be checked.
Our man in York says it's the bee's knees. We trust him implicitly, But remain curious and optimistic.

I checked them out, and they do not have a listing for the 43x/48.
I ended up going with a 3.5 Ghost connector and an Overwatch Precision. Got the Ghost in the mail yesyerday and expecting Overwatch early next week.
We shall see...

draco, do some serious checking of the system before installation for me please!! Take up, actual poundage and over travel please. Thanks Ole Pard.
