At the range today I was showing how the glock 9mm frame is smaller than the M&P 9mm frame because the glock fits in the S&W holster but the reverse is not true.

The glock mag doesn't fit in the M&P, but the M&P mag does fit in the G34... and... it won't lock in obviously but if you hold it in place it will feed! I rapid fired half a mag out of the glock with M&P mag in it.

Then of course we had to keep experimenting and if you stuff a Walther PPQ (I think) 15 round mag with a spongy sorta of rubber baseplate in and hold it in place and it feeds just fine.

So when the zombies are attacking and your buddy with an M&P 2.0 9mm or a PPQ (?) 9mm tosses you a mag you can run it in a pinch in your G17/34 sized glock.

Oh, you're just baiting the Glock haters.

I thought everyone knew this?

You can actually turn your Glock over, fill the grip with loose rounds, cover it with the palm of your hand, flip it back over and it will feed.
With the ammo upside down and backwards?

My EDC will fire loose rounds also...and in two different calibers!!

Your buddy with the M&P will have already neutralized all the zombies. ;)

That's amazing. Who knew?

Do all the rounds have to be the same caliber?

That's why Glocks are the #1 pistol in the whole, wide, world! Wee doggy! And a Sazam! And a big ole Damn!

seems like physics...

all of chambers should be roughly the same size.

This means the top end of the magazine should be similar at least. Spring pushes up and bullet gets pushed forward into chamber? if the mag fits "high enough" should feed right?

is it weird that I'm not totally shocked?

I stayed awake all night thinking about this. What kind of holster would one use?

Tonight at the match I had a double feed... on the start of table start stage. Sigh. I know how it happens, I got all cocky with my magic glock that feeds from everything. Everything except a glock mag apparently.
