Good Timing! The wife and I are in the "thinking about it" stage of possibly getting a few Nigerian Dwarf Goats when we retire.
Already have plans for a small milking barn, and scoped out an area to fence in for the goats. We do plan to have chickens, and at least one pig for meat.
Don't really want to get too tied down, and not be able to travel, but we will have a daughter living on the property that can fill in while we're gone. Also learned that goat farmers do help each other out for vacation time. So we plan to visit a few local farms to make friends and learn something.
