I'm getting ready to buy a golf cart. I’m looking at the new Yamaha’s. Any experts have any advice? I hate getting passed by any motorized vehicles. I have to buy electric . Which is faster meaner better? Yamaha? Club car? EZ Go? Help!

What uses are you going for? Where and who will be driving it? Any local ordinances that you need to conform to?

As to a “community cart” my Aunt and Uncle who live in a retirement community outside of Austin just bought a gently used Garia thru their HOA and love it. The batteries are top of the line lithium ion so there’s little to no maintenance outside of plugging it in. The design and construction are newer technology and the cart is very comfortable and easy to handle. It handles a day of running around their neighborhood and a round of golf on an overnight charge.

As to speed this one is actually street legal and will move! It’s street legal so it must be able to maintain 25mph per their laws.

Living in a golf course community. Drive about 2 blocks to hole #2 of my club. Driving to pool with granddaughter, mostly Golf. Can’t be gas, has to be under a certain height, wheels under a certain size etc.

Revel42 has refurbished clubcars. We got one for farm work and the price was pretty dang good. 20170613_084243.jpg

Anyone know about the new 72 volt system Ezgo's. Seems to be the hot ticket since most cars are 48 volt up to this point???

Beware of the 72V setup. It uses 12V batteries which do not have the reliability and life of 6V yet. Right now the best technology for overall performance is still 48V w/ lithium ion batteries.
