I went down to Spectrum Tactical in Rock Hill to see the machinist about getting some work done. He makes a lot of tubes for some well known "solvent trap" vendors. Anyway he's also a 02/07 SOT. He demo'd one of the .22 cans he sells . All stainless steel construction. Well made clipped stainless cones. Basically what my Spectre 2 is at about half the price and quieter. Went out and shot it and it was stupid quiet. $175.
 
Shielded cones I presume?
 
Yes. 17-4 construction . Quite nice actually. Would have bought one myself but the wait time on form 4's isnt my thing.
 
If you talk to him again, would you ask if he’d be willing to do a one-off silencer? Or kit?
 
Hes up for just about anything as far as building a silencer custom wise. Ive got some special sized tubes he's threading for me for some integrals but said he'd be willing to cut and clip some cones .
 
Love to get some more info as well...
 
I’m still trying to talk myself into the NFA game and would like to start with some form 1’s. This would be ideal if he can do it.
 
@wired does he do any recore work? Thinking about giving him a call just to talk through some things with him.
