nothing special by no means but it gives me hope again after last week session.

I could get off 2 shots at 30 ft under 2.6
0 down consistently.
I know is really slow compared what some of y'all can do but I'm really proud.

On a side note, it gets aggravating trying to use a timer in a indoor range.
Makes me want to keep up my dryfire routine even more.

Progress is progress. I put stock in that idea you should only compare yourself to your past self. There's always going to be someone better than you at something. As long as you never stop improving, that's what matters.

Are you allowed/able to draw from a holster?
Yes, fastest was a 1,65 out of the holster with a .56 split. I had a couple first shots at 2.5+ but at least I wouldn't shoo until I had the site picture I wanted.

Well then that's pretty good! Don't undersell yourself.
From the draw is the most practiced thing I do at my range. 30 feet is the farthest distance I'll go after with my self defense routines.
I'm actually fairly quick at getting the gun from the holster, but getting hits is a whole different story. Some days I'm an ace, other days I'm off...take 5 shots at 2 targets, miss 4 times. (I use uspsa cardboards) So I'll slow down with target aquisition, and hit all 5, but then I'm not happy with the time. If I really feel like getting depressed, I'll move while shooting.
When I read stories about SD shootings with 13 shots fired and no hits, I know why.
On paper this all sounds easy to do, but it's far from easy.

lol, I feel your pain. Last week at the range I could not hit anything. One night dryfiring I didn't do anything right. I'll may go back today and everything will probably be worse.
I have yesterday to keep me going for a while, lol

Y'know we read about or watch vids of these guys..Ayoob, Vickers, et al..doing this stuff in sub 2 second splits and never miss.
But when you remember it took them 20 years and a half-million rounds to get there, kinda puts things in perspective.

What I've found that helps me, is diet. Eat a good non-greasy breakfast or lunch, stay away from the jittery stuff..no coffee, cokes, mtn. dew..be well rested. And really, it makes sense. The body is the engine.
But what happens when I'm in the Dollar General on the wrong day after I just went to Shoney's and powered down a plate of bacon and 4 cups of coffee? I'd probably end up missing the bad guy and shooting the hell out of aisle 5.

I'm screwed then, I'm not the poster boy for a "healthy body"" I'm like the before picture. Gallon of sweet tea a day and Bojangles chicken almost everyday.

I do need to cut down in the tea,, it get in the way of my 2 packs a day

I'd almost be tempted to invest in the 1/2 million rounds...

It's the 20 years that's the problem. :(

What a difference a day makes,
Yesterday I was moving like a Navy Seal.
Today, like a elephant seal.
Today's Hi Lites
Getting the first round off in 1.5.
Low points. Didn't hit a dang thing,, lol

Back to the garage for another week.
