GOP beginning to cave on Dem Gun Registration Bill

There is a simple solution to this right now. Just read that the Dem Commie Hispanic Congressional Caucus is in Puerto Rico partying. How about Trump just net let those SOB's back in the US proper? :D

Then the R's hold a majority in Congress. Take money from the military budget, build the wall and a big FU to the Dems. Game on.
Even better, have them all arrested for drug trafficking, the dogs alerted to their luggage.;)

218 house members must be present for a quorum, if not then the Sgt. at Arms has to find those not in attendance.

Folks, HR 8 now has 229 sponsors...that is enough to get it through the house. The corresponding bill in the senate, has 41...10 more and it can pass.

Be vigilant, be prepared...

229...41....another 10; comes out to 280. From east to west and north to south, I'd bet we have at least a million sponsors of liberty, probably more.

We got better numbers...and odds.

Be vigilant, be prepared...

Agree 100%.

178 cosponsors now on HB 8...still only the original 5 R's. Two NC D's have signed on...David Price and Alma Adams, none from SC.
Thanks for mentioning this. I have David Price's number on speed dial since he's my representative, so I gave his office a call to speak out against this move from him.

GK Butterfield is also from NC and is representing the Halifax County and Northampton County folks has co sponsored it also. Not that I am shocked.

They say it should not be construed to be a national firearms registry. Yea, right.
They also explicitly say that there can be no cap on the fees charged by an FFL.

Thats the idea.
Just one or two generations like the last couple and some of the older wiser die off.
I can give you $22,000,000,000,000.00 reasons why the current system won't be around that long. (and growing every day).

Here is another one introduced yesterday, read on the floor and sent to the House Committee on the Judiciary...neither summary nor the text of the bill have been posted yet.

67 co-sponsors...non are Repubs and non from NC (yet).

H.R.1186 - To regulate large capacity ammunition feeding devices.

Right now, I see this as a strategy for use in 2020-similar to how the Republicans talked a big game about repealing ObamaCare year after year after year. In this case, they'd "have done it if it weren't for the damned GOP! Please send donations to...."

The difference is unlike the feckless Republicans, the Democrats will use it for campaigning now and actually pull the trigger on it once they control the government.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...san-debate-about-background-checks/ar-BBTySRe

“Tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of Parkland. It reminds us once again that high-capacity magazines are about high-capacity killing,” Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), one of the bill’s sponsors, said in an interview Wednesday. “You don’t need 30, 60 or 90 rounds to go hunting or defend yourself.”

If I remember correctly the Parkland shooter used 10rd mags and purchased his rifle with a background check. Statements like the one above just go to prove 1) They don't know what the hell they're talking about or 2) Don't care and none of these laws have anything to do with stopping shootings.

My vote's on 2.
