Dragon tail Foxfire. The call them zoom rods. Adjusts from 9’3” to 8’ to 6’6”. Its my new day hiking and backpacking rod. Super light. Fiberglass/carbon hybrid rod. Feels very soft. Going to try it out on Tuesday I hope.

Most of mine is when I’m day hiking with the family. Gonna try and hit the tuck dh on Tuesday when I go get the oldest from WCU.
I can be on the water in minutes with these rods. Almost no setup. Great for day hikes.
You could bring that up to Shady Valley for the spring PFF on May 13. Not sure if I will be able to make it, but there are still some of the original guys that will be there and a lot of good new folks.

You know, I've never made Shady. Made kids and dads and the fall trip on the Nanty. Lying and tying at Aarons a time or two. Too busy spending vacation on the kids days off. Gonna have to put that on my to do list. I'm sure some of the other small stream nuts would get a kick out of it.

I used to go to those back in the early and mid 2000s. Always had a good time. I haven’t even in years and haven’t been on the website in years. I kind of lost interest I guess.
The website is gone now. The arraignments are now done on a Facebook page which I have never seen because I deleted my account in 2020. The last one I attended was 2019 and we did not have one in 2020. I did not attend the one in 2021 and probably will not be at the upcoming event.

Ah, you came to us from Keith's forum. I was referring to the Southeast Fly Fishing Forum. Most of the core people for putting the PFFs, the smallie shows, kids and dads shows and the lying and tying get togethers were on the SFFF. Some of us were on Keith's forum also. Keith was at the first one in 2000, ask him about his midnight swimming lesson, and has been a big asset to the group and still is. He archived photos from all the events on his sight.
